My friend Jim Corr created a web site Hidden (and not so Hidden) Gems of Berkeley dedicated to what he’s dubbed “private public art”—i.e., art that is displayed in the front yards or on the walls of residences viewable from the street—as opposed to the public or corporate art you can see downtown or in the forecourts of office buildings. “
