I was driving down Euclid, the light was right and I stopped to take photos of the Kennedy-Nixon recital hall and home at 1537 Euclid Avenue
It’s one of my favorite Berkeley Maybecks.
No debate here – the Kennedy-Nixon home is a gem!

And photos of the Maybeck we sold earlier this year – it was a pleasure to take these photos as gifts for our buyers.
Our buyers are now the stewards of Bernard Maybeck’s extraordinary Senger House.
We are honored that they returned to us 20 years after we sold their first home in Thousand Oaks. As a housewarming gift, we presented them with photos of their amazing home to share with family and friends.
Imagine how beautifully we’ll market your home.
Bernard Maybeck’s Senger House had beautiful glowing woodwork. We captured the rich tonal range, in natural light, using these techniques. Each photo is a panorama produced from 14 or 21 individual photos.
We used a specialized tilt/shift architectural lens to photograph the facades of the Elmwood and California movie theaters. This lens, similar to that found in a bellows camera, can be shifted up or down. Shifting the lens position keeps vertical lines vertical rather than have them converge at the top.
