Carol said – let’s take the day off! And what’s the best way to start the day? Bagels at Manhattan Bagel in Berkeley’s Fourth Street Neighborhood.
The street was filled with people, dogs, kids, musicians – all having fun.
This was yesterday’s itinerary.
Parked next to the railroad tracks
Stroll through Sur La Table to look at expresso makers (and sample the goods)
Bagel and juice at Manhattan Bagel
Browse at Books, Inc. the Flight 001
Say hi to my friend Leslie Easterday
Coffee at Peet’s
Garden chair stop at The Gardener
Check Facebook – and saw a photo taken by Gene Della Maggiora – of me – in the chair – at The Gardener
Turn around to look for Gene – turn the other way, and there he was
Talked to Gene for a half hour while Carol and Tim schmoozed.
And we forgot to make it down to Vik’s Chaat Corner at 2390 Fourth Street. But that’s OK – Carol opened today’s New York Times Style Magazine – Hot Spots – Travel Spring 2010 and came across their article on Vik’s!
And that’s just a few of the reasons I love living in Berkeley!
I’ve not yet “processed” the day photos, but thought you’d enjoy seeing some of the night ones.
