839 Miramar in Berkeley’s Thousand Oaks Neighborhood
3 Bedrooms 1+ Baths $800,000 – Photo Portfolio at 839Miramar.com
Open Sunday – Mother’s Day – 20 May 2012 – 2:00 to 4:30 pm
839 Miramar is a spacious Thousand Oaks home on a peaceful tree-lined street … near everything that makes the neighborhood special – shops, cafes, restaurants, book stores, parks, and more!
The Walk Score? 88! Very Walkable.
Chances are you might not have ever heard of Miramar. Miramar connects Capistrano with San Lorenzo … and is only one block long. Search google maps for Laurel Lane and Station Place for two other unusual neighborhood streets.
One of our earliest memories was when they closed the street for Halloween. The kids have all grown, but the nearby Thousand Oaks Elementary School keeps the tradition with an parade up and down Solano!

What awaits you at 839 Miramar?
A spacious 3 bedroom 1+ bath home with updated kitchen, spacious dining room with skylight, separate laundry (that’s where the half bath is), lots (lots!) of storage … and even 2 off-street parking spots.
Did I mention the three separate outdoor areas?
Wonderfully planted front garden … check out my very first HDR – High Dynamic Range photos of the plantings
An outdoor patio with built-in table next to the kitchen … perfect for BBQ
The french doors off the dining room open to a private patio (that’s where I’d have morning coffee) .. and the enclosed side yard with grass, raised garden beds, and corner hydrangea
It’s a charming neighborhood with terrific neighbors (Ira here – we’ve lived a few blocks away for 30 years!) … friendly, conscientious folks who have organized to be prepared for emergencies … and even have an annual block party.
839 Miramar is sited for lots of privacy (unusual for corner lots).
Some of our favorite restaurants are almost literally a block away (some journeys will go for 2 or 3 blocks). Cugini for friendly Italian dining; Rivoli for special occasions, Talavera (great mole poblano) … and even a place for ice cream.
The Solano Stroll is in early-mid September – it’s a mile-long block party filled with music, crafts, food, people, dogs and community organizations.
And last, but not least … easy highway access and a great location convenient to Berkeley, Albany, Kensington, and El Cerrito
