We work long hours, so always looking for interesting adventures which get us away from the computer for a few hours.
Reading the San Francisco Chronicle this morning, Carol and I both noticed the article “111-year old Sunnyside Conservatory reopens“…. and we never knew it existed.
So.. off to San Francisco to check it out.
Found a parking space right away, and walked up to the building.
All of a sudden, Carol gives me the “palm up, fingers waving” call. I get my camera ready, and who walks down the stairs but Gavin Newsom, the Mayor of San Francisco. The only other SF Mayor I saw was Willie Brown – he was on line for a movie at the Metreon.
The conservatory? A complete delight! – Check out my photos.
Amazing that someone tried to tear it down in the past.
